VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AND HELP WANTED

INDIVIDUALS:

Treasurer / Trustee:  An individual is needed to oversee the financial operation of the Fair, keep the fairs bookkeeping records, as well as to guide and train those handling cash with proper procedures.

Asst. Treasuer:  An individual is need to provide assistance to the Treasurer as needed to aid in the various financial operations of the Fair.

Farmer for A Day:  A volunteer is needed to operate a hands-on exhibit which teaches area and travelling youth fairgoers exactly where their food comes from as they dig for potatoes and carrots, collect eggs, pick apples, and so on.  This exhibit is a one day only presentation on Saturday of the Fair.

Various small jobs as required:  Only have a few hours and want to help out?  Great.  E-mail info@dvfair.com and we'll see where we can fit you in.


GROUP FUND RAISING OPPORTUNITIES: 

ADMISSION GATES:  Groups are needed to operate the Admission Gates to the Fair.  This role requires a minimum of three perons at all times during the hours of gate operations, rain or shine, typically Thurs and Friday, 4:00 - 8:30, Saturday 8:00 am - 8:30, and Sunday 8:00 am - 2:00 PM.  The group represented will earn a stipend check, as well as potential bonus if the admission booth balances.
 
MIDWAY BOOTH:  Groups are needed to operate the Midway Rides Ticket Booth at the Fair.  This role requires a minimum of two persons at all times during the hours of midway operation at the fair.  Typically this is 4:30 pm - 10:30 on Thurs. & Friday, 9:30 am - 10:30 pm Saturday, and Sunday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.  The group represented will earn a stipend check.
 
BINGO:  Groups are needed to operate the Bingo Tent at the Fair.  Thurs. & Friday Afternoons of the Fair (6:00 PM - 10:30), and on Saturday (12:00 Noon - 10:30 PM).  Bingo Equipment, shelter, tables and chairs provided by the Fair.  Volunteers provided by your group for a 50/50 split of proceeds between your group and the Fair.

Cow Plop Contest:  Looking for a Fund Raising Opportunity for your group?  How about organizing a cow plop contest?  The Fair will provide you the space free of charge.  We will also let you use our fencing, but your group will need to put it up and take it down.  All you have to do is get a cow, and organize the event.  All the proceeds are yours.
 
Dunking Booth:  Looking for a Fund Rasingin Opportunity for your group or cause?  How about organizing a dunking booth?  The Fair will provide you with the space free of charge, all you have to do is rent or obtain a dunking booth, set it up and take it away, and organize the operations of the tank, and all the proceeds shall be yours.  We'll even assist in arranging to have it filled.
