Over 60 cars competed for cash prizes, and trophies at the 90th Annual Deerfield Valley Farmers' Day Fair in Wilmington, VT on August 26, 2007. The event started shortly after 11:00 AM and ended at approximately 4:30 PM.
Two drivers were injured and taken by ambulance to the hospital. The first driver, was taken to the Hospital as a precautionary measure to rule out a spinal injury after an unexpected rear end collision. His family reported that evening that he was found to be fine at the hospital. The second driver, in a fit of unsportsman-like conduct, threw his fist through his windshield creating a deep laceration in his forearm. He too, was taken to teh hospital by ambulance for treatment. The driver commented that he was stitched up and released from the hospital that evening.
Thank you to Kevin Adlrich and all the rest of the volunteers which made the Demolition Derby a spectacular event!
